Corrigan is New
Development Director
Shanti
Corrigan joined the I-House staff in March as Director of Development
and Alumni Relations. A native of Berkeley, Shanti will draw on
extensive development and communications experience as she helps
plan the course for the upcoming 75th Anniversary I-House Campaign
and works to expand the online alumni community.
Shanti
previously served as Director of Development and Communications
at University of Southern California's Department of Occupational
Science and Therapy, where she also managed and resided in an award-winning
housing program serving students from around the world. In addition,
Shanti has held senior positions at Business for Social Responsibility,
the National Council of Negro Women, and United Communities for
Humans Rights. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz in Community Studies,
Shanti holds a master's degree from USC's Annenberg School for Communication
and is certified in Fundraising Management by the Indiana University
Center for Philanthropy.
"It
is truly an honor to work here," says Shanti. "Though
I've been on-the-job just a few weeks, I can already appreciate
what a special place this is and how important and timely is our
mission. I'm looking forward to partnering with our alumni, board,
staff, and students, to ensure the I-House legacy is protected and
our future is secure."

Shanti's
predecessor, Meike Weyrauch, is now the Development Director at
SHELTER, Inc., a non-profit that prevents homelessness in Contra
Costa County.
