Four minor projects were underway during the year:
1. The renovation of the Dining Room begain in June and the transformation was wonderful. The beautiful new floor, lighting, paint, cabinetry, and trim work will greatly enhance the dining experience. A disabled access ramp leading to the dining room's main entrance has also been constructed.
2. The Chevron Auditorium has a new chiller that will air condition the auditorium and ventilate offices slated for renovations and seismic safety enhancements coming this year.
3. Seismic renovation of another 25 resident rooms was completed in June; the project is now complete with the renovation of 470 rooms.
4. Two stairwells between the third and fourth floors were removed to create two new residential rooms, and a new computer peripherals room near the Fleishhacker Library.
KEY FUTURE PROJECTS
Renovation of the Clarence E. Heller Patio including construction of a disabled access elevator; enhanced disabled access throughout the building; renovation of resident toilet, wash, and shower rooms; overhaul of the two service elevators; replacement of the 70-year-old resident room door locks; on-going replacement of old resident room furnishings.
