the international house times online
At the fall retreats, residents shared their observations about life in the U.S., misconceptions about their home countries, and differences in discipline through interviews, recitals and dance. Depicting how romantic relationships are initiated in their respective countries was - not surprisingly - the highlight. Apparently, Europe and the U.S. have similar approaches while more traditional scenarios are typical in Asia, India, Africa, and the Middle East.

The annual retreats were an opportunity for more than 200 new residents to be welcomed into the I-House community, to learn about the mission of the House, and to form friendships in the beautiful setting of Valley of the Moon at Glen Ellen.
