Reunion set for June 6, 1998

Save the date of Saturday, June 6, to return to I-House for a reunion of alumni who lived in the House during the 1950's.

"It will be a special pleasure to welcome alumni back to the House," notes Executive Director, Joe Lurie. "We've had reunions for several eras in recent years. These events are a great opportunity to re-connect with old friends and with the House."

The event is scheduled between two Elderhostel programs so reunion-goers have the opportunity for a longer stay, during the week before or after the reunion. This will encourage alumni who are coming from great distances, and even from abroad, to participate in the reunion and stay on for Elderhostel.

Areunion reception will begin at 5 pm in the Great Hall followed by dinner and program in the Chevron Auditorium.

Details, including a list of hotels, will be included in the invitation, which will be mailed in March.

1950's Alumni Directory
Have you always wondered what happened to old friends from I-House? A Directory of 1950's I-House alumni just might have the answers. We can only include you if you give permission (or if you were listed in the 1993 Directory of all alumni published by Harris Publishing Co.). Please send us your information (name, address, phone, business information, years at I-House) and give us your permission to be included.

The Way It Was . . . 1952
The first I-House community visit to Redding included a tour of the local newspaper, Record-Searchlight. The Redding Rotary continues to host students from International House. For 45 years, community visits have given students an opportunity to experience life in the U.S. outside Berkeley.
