ELDERHOSTEL 2000

The Elderhostel program is a great way for alumni and friends over the age of 55 to return to Cal and enjoy outstanding classes held at I-House. Scholarship assistance is available.

JUNE 4-10, 2000

Take a trip back in time to visit the music and social history of the 16th, 17th, and I 8th centuries. Our program is held in conjunction with the Berkeley Festival which features a rich variety of early music performed by world-class musicians. Lectures offer insights into the lives of composers and the masterpieces that we will hear performed. Activities include a presentation by an instrument maker, field trip to an instrument collection and carillon festival at Cal's Campanile. Be prepared to walk and use the campus shuttle bus. A fee of $510 covers lectures, meals, accommodations, local outings, and three outstanding concerts.

JUNE 11-17, 2000

Three classes are offered in this session. Most Elderhostelers participate in all classes although you are welcome to participate in as much or as little as you choose! A fee of $470 covers meals, classes, accommodations, and local outings.
