FUND RAISING REVIEW 

Support for International House reached record levels for the 1998-'99 fiscal year thanks to the generous contributions of alumni and friends around the world.

The Annual Fund was the largest ever at $268,357, reflecting a steady increase in recent years. Over the past three years, the Annual Fund has grown by 27%. The Annual Fund provides important flexible funding to use in areas where need is greatest.

Contributions to Restricted Funds topped $3.1 million, including the largest gift ever, coming from the bequest of Charles Ramsden. The Charles H. Ramsden Endowed Scholarship Fund now totals more than $2.75 million. With this magnificent gift, many more low-income students will be able to live at International House. Included in Restricted Funds are:

Scholarships: $2,548,450

Programs: $64,406

Capital Projects: $431,444

Seismic Renovations: $62,233

The Annual Report, which includes the Honor Roll of Donors and a comprehensive evaluation of the 1998-'99 year, will be mailed to donors in January.
