The University of California’s first international hub is California House in London. Opened in 1999, the University shares California House with the California Trade and Commerce Agency. Through this partnership, the University of California campuses have an opportunity to strengthen relationships with their alumni as well as with British universities, businesses, and agencies.

California House will serve as headquarters for an expanded University of California Education Abroad Program, University of California Press and other university programs and activities in Europe, including outreach to the university’s nearly 5,000 alumni in Britain and other parts of Europe.

Located near Mayfair in London’s West End, California House facilities can be reserved for small receptions, seminars, briefings, meetings, and other UC activities. California House staff may be able to help the University community conduct business in London, the United Kingdom, and on the Continent.

California House in London and additional hubs planned for Asia and the Americas offer potential for building academic and economic ties worldwide and for raising awareness of UC and its services to the international community.
