 Sharing meals is an integral part of the International House experience
that can be enjoyed by both residents and the campus community alike.
The I-House dining room offers a variety of ethnic and American regional
cuisines to meet a wide range of tastes. Service for our patrons is provided in our beautiful dining
room and patio in a buffet style.
Our dining facility remains open all year, except for the winter
break. Lunchtime barbecues on the Heller
Patio are held throughout the summer and on into
the fall, weather permitting.
Special, multi-course banquets accompany most important international
celebrations such as India's Divali and French
Bastille Day. For every major ethnic heritage celebration-Native American,
Chicano-Latino, African American, and others-Dining Services
prepares a unique dinner featuring specialties of that group or culture.
We also sponsor a Guest Chef Dinner Series, with master chefs from
well-known Bay Area restaurants who preside over the planning and preparation
