Facilities and Equipment

The Resident Computing Center (RCC) is available exclusively to current I-House residents twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  The Center is located just outside of the elevators on the third floor.  It offers access to a number of Windows and Mac systems with popular application software and connection to the campus Ethernet network and internet.  Two laser printers are available for use with a printer access card (cards for printing are for sale at the Resident Service Center, located in the Laundry Room adjacent to the elevators).

The Peripherals Room offers two systems with additional multimedia software, color printing and a scanner.  It is located on the 2nd floor near the Library.

Additional systems for web and email are available in the Laundry Room and in the Library.

Please don’t use local hard drives of public computers for permanent storage.  User files are removed at every login.  In addition, computers are restored periodically to ensure consistency in software configurations.

Computing Center Policies

Residents who wish to use the RCC should be aware of our policies:

• The Center is for current I-House residents only
• There is no food or drink allowed inside
• Schoolwork takes priority over other uses of equipment
• Please no music or sound from games
• All of the Campus Computing Policies apply.
