| International House is a program and residential center that welcomes U.S. and overseas students. Located in the southeast foothills of the Berkeley campus, the historic and architecturally striking House affords a commanding view of the entire San Francisco Bay Area. It is within walking distance of the central campus classrooms and libraries, recreational facilities, and Berkeley commercial areas.
During the Summer Sessions, you will spend your residency at International House living with a diverse group of residents including graduate students, teachers, laboratory researchers, Elderhostelers, visiting scholars, and exchange students from around the world.
There is a limited amount of double rooms for the upcoming sessions past June 21, 2009. Please take this into consideration before applying to International House.

Construction:
Summer construction work will begin in selected restrooms and shower rooms on the 4th and 5th floors in late May and continue through the middle of September. Intermittent noise will be heard in various parts of the building Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. As a rule, there will be no construction work in the evenings or on most weekends. The UC Berkeley Stadium Project is also under construction next door and has some noise associated with it. Please consider this inconvenience when you are applying for summer residency. |
If you have any questions or should you want information about shorter stays, please contact the Admissions Office.
