To Sail the Oceans of Diversity Towards Positive Personal Transformations by Sandeep Patkar
" The past nine months will be a time that I will cherish and honor for many years to follow. The few but true friendships that I was afforded. The sense of brotherhood and belonging by one special friend. To have experienced the human sense of psychological warmth and compassion. The introduction of religion, diversity in all forms in each of respective paths of life. In the end, it is but one path that we truly converge upon. Via diversity and personal transformations, we all converge upon a common ground."

The Unfinished I by Naureen Mohammad
" All of the pieces I have picked up this year at the International House have been transparent, allowing me to see so much more that I could see before. I have no idea what the finished picture will look like, and I suppose I never will since I will continue adding to it with every person I meet until I die. But what the International House has taught me is how to ensure that every person I meet, every piece of glass that is added to my soul, is clear, no matter the circumstances of our meeting."

Citizens of the Same World by Irene Corantis
" People starve, communities fall apart, violence thrives, families fade, nature disappears…While all this is happening in our earth, some people continue on with their lives as if nothing is wrong. It’s as though we’ve become a world of sleepwalkers…we look around at the world’s problems and wish they would go away. And yet, so many of the world’s problems could be solved if people just spent a little time listening to each other…not hearing each other but really listening. I think, ultimately, the I-House has changed me in two ways: it has helped me learn to listen to other people…and it has also made me realize that no matter how proud we are of our respective countries…,we are all citizens of the same world."

" I will miss many things from I-House: dance classes every Monday, series of lectures on globalization which opened my eyes and turned my attention to important and interesting issues, cultural explorations during discovery month and Great Hall couches, where I sat during so many coffee hours. But more than anything I will miss the people – my friends. I will never forget them because they impressed their images in my heart and changed it forever."
