Traveling
this year, in the U.S. or abroad? Then you'll want to make sure the
International House Passport travels with you!
Established
in 1992, the Passport encourages members of the I-House community to
broaden their exploration of other cultures while strengthening vital
links between the Houses. It entitles all members of the community--I-House
residents, members, alumni, staff, and Board members--to stay at any
participating sister International House for a 10% discount off the
prevailing residence rate.
International
Houses belonging to the Passport "network" are located in Australia,
England, Korea, and the United States (New York, Philadelphia, Chicago,
and, of course, Berkeley). View a list of I-Houses.
Cost of
the Passport is $10. It can be purchased at the International House
Cashier's window during working hours (phone 642-9464 for summer schedule).
Make sure to bring a standard passport-sized photo.
Then all
you'll need to do is pack your bags, check your travel tickets, and
prepare to assume the role of international diplomat!
