Meet Your Resident Assistants
The goal of the Resident Assistants is to promote a positive experience for everyone living in the International House. The RAs help ensure the safety and security of the house, and are available to help residents with a variety of issues whether they are related to I-House or not. Karaoke Coffee Hour
Wednesday, January 11, 9-10 pm (Residents and Members Only)
Coffee Hour is one of the most popular weekly social events at I-House and a great place to meet your fellow residents. Be green and bring your own mug! I-House Coffee Hour Mugs are sold at the door for $3. Paper cups are 25 cents. Don’t forget to bring your room key for Coffee Hour access.
UC Botanical Garden Tour
Thursday, January 12, 12:45-3 pm
Explore 34 acres with of 13,000 different plants from all over the world! This event is free with student ID. Sign up in the Program Office to reserve your spot.

Town Hall Meeting (Mandatory)
Wednesday, January 18, 8-9 pm, Sproul Rooms
The Town Hall Meeting is a must for any new resident. Meet your Resident Assistants (RA's) the Resident Council members, The I-House Counselor, Health Workers, Career Staff and learn about I-House policies and community standards.
Ice Cream Social Coffee Hour
Wednesday, January 18, 9-10 pm
Following the Town Hall Meeting, enjoy ice cream at Coffee Hour.

Applications Due January 20
The Program office is composed of career staff and Program Coordinators (student/resident employees) who are crucial in assisting with bringing all I-House residents, members and alumni vibrant cross cultural programs and events. Applications for the 2012 Spring Semester are available in the Program Office. Applications are due on 1/20/12, 4 pm. Interviews will be held on 1/24 only.

I-House Building Projects
You may have noticed some work zones around the House as you arrive for the first time or are returning. Following is what is finished or nearly finished:
- New Auditorium Floors – beautiful flooring was placed in the Chevron Auditorium, the Slusser Room and on the stage.
- I House Café Remodel – new cabinetry, lighting, paint, equipment, plumbing, electrical was installed to modernize and bring up-to-code the old Café.
- Painting of public spaces – the first and second floors at the front of the building were painted to become brighter spaces.
- 40 feet of main sewer line was replaced while most everyone was out of the building.
- Dining Room floors were stripped and waxed to perfection by our custodial staff.
Thank you for your patience as the final touches are completed on these projects.
