Sierra Club Internship Opportunity
Do you want to be on the front lines addressing clean energy and environmental justice in the Bay Area? The Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter is hiring interns to build the next generation of the environmental movement! This is an outstanding opportunity for students interested in local grassroots environmental organizing to gain references and resume experience in the environmental field.
Available: Immediately
Reports to: Jeramiah Dean,Community Organizer
Hours: 10- 15 hours per week from September through December 2011, evening and weekend availability.
Compensation: This position is unpaid. The Sierra Club Bay Chapter will reimburse some transportation expenses and help secure academic credit if applicable.

Announcing Breakfast @ The Cafe!  
Choose from the continental, breakfast sandwich or home style breakfast (menu and details posted at the Café.) Just bring your meal card and swipe!  Each Café breakfast will be deducted through your meal plan. Residents only, 1 breakfast per resident, per day.
Our Dining Hall will remain open for breakfast Mon. - Fri. 7:15 - 9:30 AM, and for brunch Sat. & Sun. 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Check the Weekly Menu for buffet breakfast options.  Rise and Shine!

 

I-House Resident Assistants (RA'S)RA's
As Resident Assistants, our goal is to promote a positive residential experience for everyone living in the International House. The RAs help ensure the safety and security of the house, and we're available to help residents with a variety of issues whether they are related to I-House or not.

Please don't hesitate to contact the front desk Sunday-Wednesday, 8am-12am and Thursday-Saturday, 8am-2:30am if you are in need of assistance: (510) 642-9490 or 2-9490 if you are calling from your room phone. In case of an emergency, you may also call the RA on duty after hours at the same number. Issues that warrant calling an RA after hours include: noise complaints, fire or medical emergencies.  PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE FRONT DESK AFTER HOURS TO CHECK OUT/RETURN/RENT EQUIPMENT/GUEST KEYS/LINENS.

Meet The I-House Health Worker - Heather Cohen Heather Cohen 
 This is Heather's second year living in I-House and her second semester as a health worker. Feel free to talk to her anytime about health related issues. Heather is a great resource because she acts as a liaison between I-House and the health center(Tang Center). Health tips will be posted around the House and make sure to watch out for activities planned throughout the year!

 

Use Your Cal1 Debit Card for Laundry at I-House!
Residents can now use their Cal1 debit card in the laundry room.
Information on how to use your Cal1 card as a laundry debit card can be found here:

Linen Exchange Program
Our weekly linen exchange service has begun, and those residents who purchased this option when they rented linen may pick up their fresh linen at the RSC during RSC hours, starting on Wednesday mornings.  The used linen for this service only, should be placed in the bins in the laundry room marked "weekly linen".  If anyone is interested in this service, please talk to the team at the RSC.

Construction News 
Restroom Renovations Project- 3rd and 4th Floors 
This project will be completed and restrooms ready for use, the first week of October. This is the last of 8 phases (8 years) of renovating all the restroom/ showers at I-House. Thank you for your patience with getting all the work accomplished.

Stadium Project
