The magnificent "mission revival" decor of International House can serve as the ideal location for your next special event. The rich history of the house lends a special ambiance to banquets, meetings and events with an international flair for groups from 20 to 450.  All conference and event facilities are wheelchair accessible except for the Heller Patio. Detailed information and prices are provided in the Facility Rental Information Packet (PDF).

In-house catering is also available for your event. Hors d'oeuvres, luncheons, served dinners, buffets, and bar service are some of the ways International House Catering can give your event that special touch.  For all your catering needs at International House, please contact Dining Services at (510) 642-8057.

Two guest rooms are available for short-term accommodations.

  • The Clausen Guestroom (Single Occupancy)

Chevron Auditorium
Chevron Auditorium
The Auditorium has the splendor of a medieval banquet hall, with its richly ornate Moorish ceiling and banners. 

The room can be arranged for cultural performances, banquets, lectures and symposia, and can accommodate groups of 50 to 450. It is fully equipped with sound system, stage lighting and movie screen.

Ida & Robert Sproul Rooms

Ida & Robert Sproul Rooms 
These two adjacent meetings rooms are perfectly suited for small lectures, classroom discussions and workshops, each accommodating up to 40 lecture-style or 24 classroom style. 

The two rooms can be combined to form a larger room to accommodate 75 lecture-style or 50 classroom style.

Slusser Conference Room
Slusser Room 
Adjacent to the Auditorium, this intimate conference room has a central table which seats 28, and comes equipped with a built-in projection screen and dry-erase board.

Homeroom

Homeroom 
Our most popular room has the inviting air of an elegant living room. Used most often for small receptions, workshops and dinner under 50, the Homeroom features a grand piano, richly detailed antique furnishings, and a balcony with breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.

For Java-equipped browsers, enjoy a panoramic virtual tour of a wedding set-up in the Chevron Auditorium, the Heller Patio, and the Great Hall. Also included are pictures of the Slusser Room and the Hall of History.
