Apply for a Group Reservation

Advance group booking requests are available for groups of four or more participants with a designated group coordinator. The coordinator serves as the primary contact and works directly with the I-House Admissions team to complete the reservation process, sign the Agreement, and arrange payment for the full group. Participants within an approved groups are guaranteed a spot at I-House.

  1. Complete the appropriate 2026 Group Reservation Request Form linked down below. 
  2. We will be in touch with a Group Reservation Agreement containing all of the details of your requested booking.

    1. Fall, Spring, and Academic Year: Group bookings align with standard semester dates and receive access to the same amenities as individual applicants.

    2. Summer: Contracts can be customized to meet each group’s specific needs and may vary by group.

  3. Your space will be confirmed once the Group Reservation Agreement has been signed, full payment has been received, a participant list has been provided, and all group members have submitted their applications

Timeline

Group bookings are available earlier than individual reservations and can be made up to 6 months prior to the desired term. Email admissions@ihouseberkeley.org to inquire about your group or fill out the group reservation request form.

Eligibility

All groups must have 4 or more participants.

Academic Year, Spring, and Fall 

During the academic year, all participants must have an affiliation with UC Berkeley and meet all eligibility requirements found on the main Apply page. 

Summer 

International House serves as a summer residence for a variety of students of all academic levels, summer groups, conference attendees, and those attending Summer Sessions at UC Berkeley. We do not require I-House residents to be affiliated with UC Berkeley over the summer. Additionally, we are able to accommodate youth groups with participants under 18.
