Bio/CV:
Hi, I’m Victor! I’m a Master’s student in Journalism at UC Berkeley specializing in documentary production. As Marketing Lead at International House, I enjoy telling stories that bring our diverse community together through video, social media, and events.
Originally from Kenya, I graduated with a degree in Journalism and have produced documentaries and features for organizations including the Kenya Defense Forces, UNHCR, and Al Jazeera English. Most recently, I contributed as a videographer and editor on Climate California, an Emmy-winning PBS Northern California documentary series that explores the state’s climate challenges.
I’m passionate about storytelling that sparks dialogue and inspires change. My projects range from highlighting violence disruptors in Oakland to creating youth-centered media platforms like Sema Radio in Nairobi. I believe that stories; whether told through film, audio, or photography have the power to move the world.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, photography, and legal drams; talk of Suits! You’ll often find me editing in the Great Hall or chatting with friends over coffee at I-House. Feel free to reach out I’m always up for a conversation about documentaries, culture, or global storytelling.
