For meetings and events from 10 to 400 people, International House is an ideal venue for your next event. All our public rooms are reconfigurable for lectures, banquets, receptions, cultural shows, films, meetings, job fairs, or conferences. A one-stop-shop, International House can handle all your A/V (audiovisual) and catering services needs, while serving as a world-class venue on the UC Berkeley campus.
The Chevron Auditorium – Featuring one of the few full-size stages with dedicated sound and theater lighting on campus, this room is excellent for theater-style seating of up to 400 people or banquets of up to 240 people. The Auditorium is frequently used in a hybrid configuration (conference in the front half, with lunch and reception or poster session in the back of the room). The Hall of History serves as a registration area for Auditorium events, while the attached Slusser Room can be used for catering, as a breakout room, and other ways in conjunction with Auditorium events.
The Golub Home Room – Our most elegant small room, the Home Room is available for lectures and conferences seating up to 56, banquets up to 50, receptions up to 60, or board meetings of 25 to 30 people. The room features a balcony with SF Bay and Golden Gate views, and can also be used as a living room for more intimate affairs.
The Ida and Robert Sproul Rooms – These rooms can be used as individual rooms seating up to 40 people each or one large room seating up to 80 (theater or banquet-style) or for a reception of up to 99 people. Hybrid setups are often configured in these rooms as well, with a conference table for up to 24 people in one room, and a banquet or reception setup next door.
The I-House audiovisual equipment inventory includes sound systems, projectors, video conferencing, wireless internet, and a trained and talented staff to set up and run even the most complex events. Full catering service is also available.
