Dear I-House Community,
It’s the Big Give time of year again – please make a gift to International House during this UC Berkeley campus-wide day of giving!
If you’re looking for a reason to give to I-House, here are just a few:
- The student from France, who is studying industrial engineering and operations research – and playing a bit of Schumann in the Great Hall to unwind.
- The Pakistani student who plans to return home after receiving his master of laws degree to build a human rights-focused law firm, from the ground up. He’s a recipient of an I-House room and board scholarship.
- The student who is working with communities in Zambia to establish small recycling enterprises that transform plastic waste into useful building materials. She taught fellow residents how to dance at the Southern African DiversiTEA & Coffee Hour a few weeks ago.
- The student from Texas who is pursuing a master’s in documentary film and investigative journalism, with a special focus on the environment. He’s a member of Resident Council.
- The future I-House resident, who has emailed the admissions office three times to make sure all of their paperwork has been received. They are so excited to join our I-House community!
Your gift to I-House today helps make possible the I-House experience for residents like these and more than 600 others, each and every year.
The I-House Big Give campaign will help build the Fund for I-House, which supports I-House room and board scholarships for students with financial need, the programs that bring our diverse community together to learn with and from each other, and the continued maintenance of every part of our beautiful, and aged, building – the Great Hall, the dining commons, the library, resident rooms, etc.
