The Academic Year rates include room, meal plan, and your I-House program membership. Upon acceptance of the housing offer, applicants will be asked to pay a $1,750 pre-payment, which will be applied to the final payment installment for the period of occupancy.

The I-House meal plan is Included in the Room and Board rates. The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. On holidays, one meal is served. The resident meal plan includes a specific number of meals per week (19 swipes a week – one for every meal). These meals are not transferable and are use-it-or-lose-it.
The Weekly Menu provides a variety of meal offerings, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free selections. Although not guaranteed, special diets can usually be accommodated and residents may arrange a meeting with our dining staff to discuss any special dietary concerns or food allergies by emailing dining@ihouseberkeley.org
Please note that the I-House meal plan can only be used at the International House Dining Commons and is not valid at Edmonds Café or on-campus dining halls and food services operated by Campus Housing.
The Dining Commons is closed for four weeks during Winter break and some holidays. Cooking in residential rooms is not permitted.
Non-Resident meal plans are available for purchase.
Advanced group booking requests are accepted for groups of four or more participants that are managed by one central contact person within the group’s organization who coordinates all aspects of the group members’ reservation with I-House. The group coordinator works directly with the I-House Admissions team to complete the reservation, sign the Agreement and arrange payment for the entire group.
When approved for a group booking, all members of your group are guaranteed a reservation!
Please be aware that spaces are not guaranteed until a Group Contract has been signed, a participant list has been received by the Admissions team and all participants have completed their applications.
