Meet Shanea Gideon, Resident Support Services (RSS) Manager

Shanea Gideon, Residential Support Services ManagerHello everyone! My name is Shanea and I am very excited to be back at International House! As manager of Resident Support Services, my primary role is to promote a positive residential experience for every person living at International House. I supervise all of the lovely Resident Assistants (RAs) who play an important role at I-House.  I am a resource for them to come to and ask questions, express concerns, or just say hi and talk. I also serve as a mediator in conflict and crisis intervention, noise disruptions, floor disputes, and unauthorized gatherings.

A little about me: I am a UC Berkeley alumna who lived at I-House, so I know what it’s like to be a new resident here. I also have worked at I-House for many years as the Residential Life Coordinator, so residents can feel free to ask me questions about the house or about campus life. I enjoy going on boba (aka bubble tea) runs, swimming, and painting.
