Marketing & Communications Leads (MCLs)

Marketing and Communication Leads (MCLs) assists RCILP team in developing and implementing a event marketing strategy to promote all RCILP events and programs (DiversiTEA and Coffee Hours, Sunday Supper, Resident Benefit Concert, and more). In addition to capturing I-House resident life and resident experience in pictures and videos, MCLs also create contents for I-House's social media, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube channel.

Meet 2023-24 Marketing and Communication Leads

Gibert Chiu

Hey pals! I am Gilbert from Hong Kong. I am a graduate student in Master of Architecture here at Cal. I am super excited about being one of the marketing and communications leads (MCL) at I-House serving the community. I am very interested in architecture and urbanism and their intersections with social history and urban life. I am a very energetic person that loves to explore the world, so I am a big fan of travelling. I also like playing badminton, kayaking and hiking. I know I-House is a place for me because I enjoy interacting with people with different backgrounds, cultures and stories! Being an MCL is a great opportunity for me as it allows me to fully immerse myself in the I-House family. Let’s make our journey at I-House an awesome adventure!

Suvi Valtonen Kim

Hello! I’m Suvi and I am a third-year exchange student from South Korea. I study Information and Interaction Design at home and Media Studies at Cal. I love drawing, watching k-dramas, anime, and generally warm, cute things. I’m so happy to be a part of the MCL team this semester and I hope to be able to capture everyone’s precious memories at I-House. I love making new friends and learning about new cultures so don’t hesitate to reach out if you see me around

Irina Paun

Hello! I’m Irina, an undergrad Junior majoring in political sciences & political philosophy. I’m Romanian, grew up in the Bay, and spent the past two years studying abroad in France. Other than the classic dining table introduction, I’m a ballroom dancer, will often speak in Franglais, listen to a considerable amount of techno and réggaeton, and can be found philosophizing about life or chaotically highlighting philosophy texts at any given time between 8pm - 2am in the Great Hall so if you’re around, please say ciaooo. Looking forward to meeting lovely people this year at I-House and being one of your resident leaders! :”)Allezbises !!!!

Anna Jung Fall 2023

I am a sophomore from Seoul National University, studying English and Business Administration. I am passionate about Sustainability, Global Societies, and Communications. As an exchange student at Cal, I am excited to make the most of my experience here, and I hope to be a part of the “brains” behind I-House events that will enable residents to create many wonderful memories. My personal interests include playing basketball, swimming at Strawberry Canyon, and acting in theater performances. I look forward to getting to know you all!
